A highly inventive and industrious midfielder, Sarah has recently cemented herself in the England and GB hockey teams following her international debut against South Africa in 2013.
The past year has seen Sarah make international appearances in the World League Semi Final and the EuroHockey Championships, providing her with a solid base moving into 2018, which promises to be a hugely exciting year for women's hockey. In particular the world cup in London during the summer promises to be a huge event, with all of England's matches already sold out, as well as the tournament attracting a vast global audience.
As well as her international commitments, Sarah captains Surbiton Hockey Club Ladies 1st XI who last year won the national league title for the fourth year in succession; a truly remarkable achievement. Sarah originally hails from Esher and has been at her local club since the age of 10 when she attended a hockey camp run by Brett Garrard, who now incidentally coaches the side she skippers.
As women's sport, and hockey in particular, become increasingly popular and deservedly gain greater traction, this is a really exciting time for Sarah as she comes into the prime of her career. We have no doubt that 2018 and beyond will be full of success!
