Having taken three wins this year in British Formula 4, sitting second in the championship standings with a double victory at Brands Hatch and another at Oulton Park, Ayrton will race in the BRDC British F3 Championship with Chris Dittmann Racing for the remainder of the 2018 season. His form this season backs up his first full car racing campaign in the F4 series last year, where he claimed a victory at Brands Hatch along with multiple podiums and fastest laps.
Ayrton began his single seater career in 2016, where he was crowned vice champion of the British F4 Rookie Cup, despite missing the first six races. His car racing graduation followed a successful karting career in Spain and the UK, which included winning the ’Copa Iberica’ and Rotax World Finals in the Micromax category in Portugal in 2012 whilst representing Spain.
Hailing from Aarhus, Denmark, Mikkel Jensen is one of motorsports newest stars and has been tipped as Denmark’s best bid to be a future Formula 1 driver. Like most, Mikkel’s career started at karting level, and for two years spent the majority of his time karting in his native Denmark. He ended his karting career in 2012, moving into single-seater cars.
2013 saw Mikkel’s debut in the ADAC Formel Masters championship finishing 10th overall with podiums at Spa and the Sachsenring. 2014 though proved to be Mikkel’s breakthrough season picking up ten wins on his way to the Championship title. These included wins at the famous Nürburgring and Hockenheim courses. Previous winners of the Championship include Nico Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel & Nico Hulkenberg so Mikkel is following in some very successful footsteps on his way to the top.
The 2015 & 2016 seasons saw Mikkel competing in the FIA European Formula 3 Championship. In 2015 Mikkel came 10th, securing two podium finishes and 2016 Mikkel claimed 1 podium on his way to finishing 12th in the Championship. 2017 has seen Mikkel become the newest member of BMW’s prestigious Junior Programme.
Mikkel competed in the Blancpain GT Series, driving the BMW M6 GT3 in the endurance event including the world famous 24 Hours of Spa in Belgium, plus races in the UK, Italy, Hungary, France & Spain. As well as this Mikkel raced in the European Le Mans Series in the LMP3 category, again appearing across Europe and particularly impressed coming 6th in the Championship.
